{"id":1051,"date":"2012-09-19T08:44:19","date_gmt":"2012-09-19T08:44:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/rs\/en\/the-prophetic-miracle-of-curing-the-sick\/"},"modified":"2012-09-19T08:44:19","modified_gmt":"2012-09-19T08:44:19","slug":"the-prophetic-miracle-of-curing-the-sick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/r-islam.com\/en\/the-prophetic-miracle-of-curing-the-sick\/","title":{"rendered":"The Prophetic Miracle of Curing the Sick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-1050\" style=\"float: right; margin: 15px;\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost\/rs\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/09\/157706.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"161\" border=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It was one of the miracles with which Allaah The Almighty honored His Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, that many of his Companions were cured at his hands. This happened by virtue of his blessing and supplication, something which was highly effective in keeping the Companions steadfast on the religion and in enhancing their faith.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">An example of this is what happened with the noble Companion \u2018Ali ibn Abi Taalib during the Battle of Khaybar. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, said: &#8220;I will give the banner to a man at whose hand Allaah will grant victory \u2013 [a man who] loves Allaah and His Messenger, and Allaah and His Messenger love him.&#8221;The Companions spent the whole night wondering who that person would be. In the morning, they went to the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, in order to know the winner of this merit.The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, asked about \u2018Ali ibn Abi Taalib and the Companions told him that he had sore eyes. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, sent someone to fetch him. When he came, the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, spat in his eyes and supplicated to Allaah for him. Allaah The Almighty therefore cured him by virtue of the supplication of the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam. Then Ali took the banner and fought until Allaah granted them victory. The complete version of this Hadeeth is narrated in the two books of Saheeh: Al-Bukhaari and Muslim.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Even more amazingly, it is narrated on the authority of Qataadah ibn An-Nu\u2018maan that he fought during the Battle of Uhud until he was hit with an arrow which gouged out one of his eyes. He went to the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, carrying his eye in his hand. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, took it, returned it to its proper place, and supplicated for him. The dislocated eye returned to its natural state and became the more beautiful and the sharper of the two. <br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">One of the miracles of the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, was the curing of a patient by virtue of blowing a soft breath on him. An example of this happened with the Companion Salamah ibn Al-Akwa\u2018 . Yazeed ibn Abi \u2018Ubayd said, &#8220;I saw the mark of an injury on Salamah&#8217;s leg. I said to him, &#8216;O Abu Muslim! What is this injury?&#8217; He said, &#8216;This is an injury which I suffered on the day of Khaybar, and people said, &#8216;Salamah has been injured.&#8217; Then I went to the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, and he blew a soft breath on it [the wound] thrice. Since then I have not had any pain in it until this hour.\u2019&#8221; [<strong>Al-Bukhaari<\/strong>]<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The miracles of the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, even exceeded this. He would rub a fracture so that it would be healed. This happened with the Companion \u2018Abdullaah ibn \u2018Ateek . The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, sent him to kill a Jew by the name of Abu Raafi\u2018 and his leg had broken during the mission. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, asked him to stretch his leg, then he rubbed it. The fracture was healed and \u2018Abdullaah could walk with that foot from that very moment. [<strong>Al-Bukhaari<\/strong>]<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Further blessings of the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, occurred as in the following Hadeeth: As-Saa&#8217;ib ibn Yazeed once suffered from a pain. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, rubbed his head and supplicated to Allaah to bless him. Then, he made ablution, and As-Saa&#8217;ib drank from the water used for the ablution. Immediately, the pain disappeared. [Al-Bukhaari]&nbsp;Historians mentioned that As-Saa&#8217;ib lived until he was ninety years old with perfect health and without experiencing the signs of old age due to the blessing of this supplication of the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It was narrated on the authority of Jaabir ibn \u2018Abdullaah that he contracted a severe disease that caused him to be bed-ridden, and it was so serious that he was not able to recognize those who sat around him. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, as well as Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq visited him. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, requested water and made ablution with it. He then sprinkled the used water over him. Consequently, he recovered from his disease. [<strong>Al-Bukhaari and Muslim<\/strong>]<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">In addition to treating physical diseases, the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, had an effect in treating psychological diseases as well. It was narrated that a young man went to the Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, and asked him for permission to commit adultery. The Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, put his hand over his chest and supplicated, &#8220;<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">O Allaah, forgive his sin, purify his heart, and protect his private part.<\/span>&#8221; [Ahmad] Accordingly, Allaah The Almighty removed the flood of desires from the young man&#8217;s heart, and he never again looked at women.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">These and other situations indicate the supernatural powers and abundant gifts which Allaah The Almighty granted to His Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, to support his Da\u2018wah (call) and to accredit his prophethood.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>www.islamweb.net<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was one of the miracles with which Allaah The Almighty honored His Prophet, sallallaahu \u2018alayhi wa sallam, that many of his Companions were cured at his hands.
