Their role and responsibilities are different.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Men and women are equal in Islam, but not identical; for example, man is more polygamous by nature as compared to a woman. Biologically, it is easier for a man to perform his duties as a husband, but it is not easier for women to fulfill her duties when she married more than one husband as women undergo several psychological and behavioral changes due to different phases of menstrual cycle.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Secondly, if a man marries more than one woman, the parents of the children born of such marriages can easily be identified. While in a case the woman who marries more than one man, the parents of the children born of such marriage can\u2019t be easily identified. The psychiatrists say that the children of this marriage always have ill- behavior.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">To sum up, we acknowledge that our Creator knows the best for us and when He prohibits for women to marry more than one man, it is beneficial for us.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Finally, a woman who has more than one husband will have several partners at the same time and has a high chance of acquiring venereal or sexually transmitted diseases which can be transmitted back to her husband even if all of them have no extra- marital sex. This is not the case in a man having more than one wife, and none of them having extra- marital sex. For this reason, Allah has prescribed `iddah, which is the period after a divorce or death of a husband, during which a woman can not marry another man.
