Naci\u00f3 en el Reino Unido y qued\u00f3 hu\u00e9rfana al nacer. No tiene familia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Un d\u00eda, algo dentro de su coraz\u00f3n le dijo que se volviera musulmana. Y unas semanas despu\u00e9s, entr\u00f3 en el Centro Isl\u00e1mico de Redbridge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?UNA VOZ DENTRO DE MI CORAZ\u00d3N?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Un d\u00eda, cuando volv\u00eda a casa, una voz dentro de mi coraz\u00f3n me dijo que deb\u00eda convertirme en musulmana. Era extra\u00f1o y me preguntaba c\u00f3mo puedo abrazar el Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sab\u00eda algo sobre las mezquitas y que te quitas los zapatos y que las mujeres se cubren el pelo. Pero nunca pens\u00e9 en tomar el Islam como mi religi\u00f3n. Hasta ese mismo momento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Entonces, \u00bfc\u00f3mo puedo convertirme en musulmana?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Pens\u00e9 que tendr\u00eda que ir a una mezquita. Pero me preocupaba no ser aceptada en la mezquita porque no era musulmana. Alguien me hab\u00eda dicho que los no musulmanes no pueden visitar una mezquita.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?PRIMERA VEZ DENTRO DE UNA MEZQUITA?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sin embargo, no pod\u00eda dejar de pensar en esta voz en mi coraz\u00f3n. Y un d\u00eda, tom\u00e9 todo mi coraje y camin\u00e9 hacia una mezquita en mi ciudad natal. Mis piernas temblaban como gelatina. Estaba muy preocupada. Hac\u00eda fr\u00edo afuera y me qued\u00e9 parada en el porche del Centro Isl\u00e1mico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Cuando una mujer pas\u00f3 por mi lado, tom\u00e9 todo mi coraje y le pregunt\u00e9 si pod\u00eda entrar. Era una persona muy amable y me invit\u00f3 a entrar. Me ofreci\u00f3 una silla. Era viernes y esta maravillosa dama me explic\u00f3 lo que estaba por suceder durante la oraci\u00f3n del viernes. Lo asimil\u00e9 todo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?\u00bfC\u00d3MO ME CONVIERTO EN MUSULMANA??<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Pero luego no pude contener mi pregunta por m\u00e1s tiempo: \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo me convierto en musulmana?\u201d, le pregunt\u00e9. Ella me explic\u00f3 la shahadah. Y cuando termin\u00f3, le dije que quer\u00eda ser musulmana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Recit\u00e9 mi shahadah con algunas bellas hermanas antes de la oraci\u00f3n del viernes. Y despu\u00e9s de la oraci\u00f3n, la recit\u00e9 nuevamente con el Imam de la mezquita.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Alhamdu lillah. Desde entonces, las hermosas hermanas de mi mezquita me han apoyado y me han ayudado a aprender m\u00e1s sobre el Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?ENCONTR\u00c9 UNA FAMILIA?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Una de las cosas m\u00e1s bellas de ser musulmana es que encontr\u00e9 una familia. Nunca tuve una familia. No conoc\u00ed a mi madre ni a mi padre. Crec\u00ed en diferentes hogares de acogida y tuve que cuidarme sola desde los 15 a\u00f1os.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Los hermanos en la mezquita realmente me adoptaron. Fui invitada a sus casas. Se preocupan por m\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Especialmente durante esta pandemia de Covid-19, me cuidan. Me ense\u00f1an sobre el Islam y me ayudan a aprender s\u00faplicas y suras cortas del Cor\u00e1n. Tambi\u00e9n me dijeron que todos los musulmanes son mis hermanos y hermanas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Esto es maravilloso para alguien como yo que nunca ha tenido una familia. Al convertirme en musulmana, obtuve la familia m\u00e1s grande que podr\u00eda haber imaginado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?ME PREOCUPA OLVIDARME MIS PALABRAS?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Cumpl\u00ed 85 a\u00f1os en febrero de este a\u00f1o. Y una de las cosas que realmente me preocupan es que pierdo mis palabras. Las palabras que acabo de aprender son \u00abAlhamdu lillah\u00bb, \u00abSubhan Allah\u00bb o \u00abAllahu Akbar\u00bb. Tengo muchas ganas de seguir aprendiendo y recitando palabras del Cor\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Estoy tan agradecida de que Allah me mostr\u00f3 Su camino. Aunque ya soy anciana, quiero aprender algo nuevo todos los d\u00edas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Desde que comenz\u00f3 la cuarentena en el Reino Unido, una de mis amigas cercanas de la mezquita prepara lecciones escritas para que yo estudie el Cor\u00e1n. Con su ayuda, tambi\u00e9n puedo aprender m\u00e1s sobre los 99 hermosos nombres de Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?MI PRIMER RAMAD\u00c1N?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Este Ramad\u00e1n de 2020 es tambi\u00e9n mi primer Ramad\u00e1n. Mi amiga me dijo que debido a mi vejez, no necesito ayunar. Pero quer\u00eda intentar ayunar este Ramad\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Allah me gui\u00f3 a Su hermosa religi\u00f3n.
