I saw an episode tackling a Muslim lady may kill her own spouse out of hatred to the intimate sexual intercourse. Through the series, the Muslim lady imprisoned because she killed her husband who we’ll know later that she didn’t kill him. This lady is imprisoned with other American ladies; they believe that she is in prison because she killed him because of her hatred to the sexual intercourse. This is the reason that makes me to write this article, as I want to clear up some wrong beliefs concerning marriage by give you the podium to discover MARRIGE in ISLAM as you’ll judge by yourself.
Let me list for you, my brothers or sisters, some verses and sayings of the Prophet, pbuh, to decide yourself. Allah Almighty says (what means): Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil).” (Quran 25:74). Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him, said: “The best of you is the one who treats his wife the best,” this came in the last pilgrimage. Imagine that the prophet wants to end his life reminding his people to treat their wives kindly and passionately.
Prophet Muhammad is an ideal husband; he is the most romantic person walked on earth who used to;
1- Know her feeling,
2- Console her,
3- Assist her in the housework
4- Race with his wife, and
5- Did not talk about her private matters.
The Prophet once said to Lady Aisha: “I know well when you are pleased or angry with me. Aisha replied: How you know that? He said: When you are pleased with me, you swear by saying “By the God of Mohammad”, but when you are angry, you swear by saying “By the God of Ibrahim”. She said: You are right, I don’t mention your name.” Lady Safiyah, may Allah please with her, was on a journey with the Prophet. She was late, so the Prophet received her while she was crying. The Prophet wiped her tears with his own hands and tried his utmost to calm her down. The Prophet (PBUH) would clean and help at home. He would care to his needs himself rather than demanding his wife. He would clean and care to his clothing himself. The Prophet (PBUH) would exercise and play with his wife also. The famous incident of the Prophet (PBUH) challenging his wife to race is well known. The Prophet (PBUH) described the one who discloses his wife’s affairs to others as amongst the worst of people.
We know how the most romantic man was; let us know why Muslims marry?
In conclusion, I gave the podium to judge yourself by giving various quotes of the Quran and Sunnah (tradition of the prophet).
